Does everyone need to attend the appointment?

Generally, for the first Anmeldung appointment after arriving in Germany, every family member should attend.

However, for subsequent appointments, it is possible for one family member to register the others without their attendance. In this case, the attending member would need to bring the original passport(s)/identity card(s) and the Anmeldung forms for each family member.
